Cloud Engineering graduate from AltSchool Africa. Also a trained Medical Laboratory Scientist and UI/UX designer. I bring analytical thinking, process discipline, and the ability to learn anything I need to learn.
Cloud engineer.
Medical scientist.
Designer.
I recently graduated with a Cloud Engineering Diploma from AltSchool Africa. Before that, I trained and worked as a Medical Laboratory Scientist, and alongside my internship I was doing freelance UI/UX design work.
That combination gives me a different way of thinking. My background in healthcare sharpened my analytical skills and taught me how to manage precision and process together. My design work taught me to think about who actually uses what you build.
I learn by reading documentation, testing things, breaking them, and trying again. I ask questions when I'm stuck, and I'm honest about what I don't know yet. I'm looking for a company that invests in junior engineers, values different perspectives, and gives real work to grow on.

What I work with
Built through hands-on projects, not just coursework.
Built from scratch
End-to-end projects demonstrating real cloud engineering thinking, from network design to monitoring.
Cloud Infrastructure Deployment (Project Bedrock)
Designed scalable AWS infrastructure for a 5-service containerised retail application using Terraform, EKS, and CI/CD pipelines with monitoring and logging enabled.
- Designed a custom VPC with public/private subnets across 2 availability zones for fault tolerance
- Deployed a 5-service containerised retail app to Amazon EKS with horizontal scaling and rolling updates
- Implemented reproducible infrastructure provisioning using Terraform with remote S3 state and state locking
- Built event-driven architecture: S3 bucket triggers Lambda function on file upload
- Configured GitHub Actions CI/CD: terraform plan on PRs, terraform apply on merge to main
- Enabled CloudWatch logging for EKS control plane and containers; applied IAM least-privilege RBAC
- Designed VPC architecture with cost-aware node group sizing using t3.small managed instances
Containerised Backend Application (MuchTodo)
Containerised a Go REST API with MongoDB and Redis using multi-stage Docker builds, reducing image size by 85%, then deployed to Kubernetes with high availability and persistent storage.
- Reduced Docker image size from 1.2GB to 15MB (85%) through multi-stage builds using Alpine Linux
- Deployed to Kubernetes with 2 backend replicas, MongoDB StatefulSet, 10GB persistent storage, and Redis cache
- Configured liveness and readiness health probes for automated failure recovery and traffic control
- Implemented Docker Compose for local development. Single command starts all services
- Created 15 Kubernetes manifests covering namespaces, secrets, configmaps, deployments, services, and PVCs
Cloud Engineer Portfolio Site
Built this portfolio in HTML/CSS and deployed via GitHub Pages. Documented an equivalent AWS deployment: S3 static hosting, CloudFront CDN, Route53 DNS, provisioned with Terraform.
- Built in pure HTML/CSS with no frameworks, no dependencies, fast and lightweight
- Deployed on GitHub Pages with automated updates on every git push
- Documented AWS equivalent: S3 static hosting + CloudFront CDN + Route53 DNS
- Terraform configuration covering S3 bucket policies, IAM access, and CloudFront distribution
- GitHub Actions workflow for automated deployment on push to main
Where I've worked
- Designs healthcare and SaaS platforms in Figma with a focus on usability and clear information architecture
- Collaborates directly with developers to translate designs into working implementations
- Conducts user research and usability testing to drive iterative improvements
- Maintained quality control procedures across laboratory workflows with strict accuracy standards
- Documented processes and tracked samples through information systems and built deep documentation habits
- Collaborated with medical teams in a time-sensitive, high-stakes clinical environment
